Jamf Extended Connector Integration for Apple Assets and Software

Before you start

To stream Jamf Pro data into Oomnitza, you must add authorization credentials to the Oomnitza vault. 

The user’s credentials that are added must have read-only access to device information and access to the Jamf Pro API.

The password must not include these characters: &, *, @, and %'.

Add credentials to the vault in Oomnitza

  1. Log into Oomnitza.
  2. Click Settings > Credentials, and then click Add new credential (+).
  3. Add the information and authorization details.
  4. Enter the user name and password of a Jamf Pro account.
  5. Authenticate and click Create

You use the credentials that you added to create and customize your Jamf Pro integration with Oomnitza.

Integrate Jamf Pro with Oomnitza

Info and connect details

  1. Click Settings.
  2. On the Integrations page, scroll down to the Extended section for Assets.
  4. In the New Asset Integration sidebar, click Jamf.
  5. To integrate Oomnitza with the Jamf asset and software load, click APPLY and then click NEXT twice.

On the Connect page, complete these steps:

  1. Enter a descriptive name for the integration such as Jamf Asset and Software. That'll be the name of the integration that is shown on the Integrations page.
  2. Select Software to retrieve information about the names and versions of software.
  3. Select Cloud as the installation type.
  4. From the Credentials list, select the credentials from the Oomnitza vault that you added for the connection.
  5. Enter the name of the user of the integration.
  6. Enter the URL of the Jamf Pro instance such as https://oomnitza.jamfcloud.com.
  7. Click Next.


Map the Jamf Pro fields to Oomnitza fields to get the information that you need to manage Apple assets and software.

When you've completed mapping Jamf Pro to Oomnitza fields, click NEXT


By default, Jamf Pro data is streamed to Oomnitza once every day.

You can configure the schedule to meet your needs such as changing the interval or changing the time so that the data is streamed when your system isn't busy.

  1. Configure your schedule.
  2. Click FINISH.


A new tile is created for the integration on the Integrations page. 

What to do next

If you want to see what information is collected now, click the tile on the Integrations page and click RUN


If you want to change the integration settings, click the integration tile, and then click a navigation link on the page, such as 4 Mappings, and edit the settings. 

Navigation tip
To view the information that is collected about mobile assets, click Assets. And, to see the information that is collected about the software, click the asset and then click the Software tab.

You can use the expressions that are provided in the Jinja2 template to retrieve the values of extension attributes from Jamf Pro. You simply replace the name of the extension attribute with the name of the attribute:
