Typically, Assets are added to Oomnitza through either imports or through connector sync sessions. Sometimes, however, it may be necessary to manually add new assets. In Oomnitza, any user with sufficient permissions can manually add new assets through the Assets Module.
1. To start, navigate to Oomnitza's Assets Module. You'll be able to create assets from either the block or list view. You can do this by clicking Assets on Oomnitza's top navigation bar.
2. Once on the Assets module, click the "Add" button in the upper right.
3. After clicking "Add" you'll be shown a "New Asset" window. From this window, you can enter the fields of the asset. Fields shown in Red are mandatory. Failure to fill them out will prevent the Asset from being saved.
4. Finally, once you've filled out all the appropriate fields, click "+Add New" in the lower right. If you plan to create additional assets, check the "Create another" box at the bottom to open another New Asset window when you complete the first.
Q: What if I don't see a field that I expect to see when adding an asset?
A1: It's possible that the field you're looking for is a relational field that only appears when a certain other parameter is set. This can be confirmed by inspecting that field on the Asset Customization page.
A2: It's also possible that your role hasn't been granted access to this field. This can be confirmed by an Oomnitza administrator.
A3: Fields that cannot be edited will also not show up when initially adding an asset, but they can be seen when viewing it later.
A4: Finally, it's possible that this field doesn't exist. This can also be confirmed from the Customization page, or by an Oomnitza Administrator.
