Connect Oomnitza and Intune in minutes

Setup

Remember
To create the integration, you need your Microsoft Identity Management Subscription ID.
Before you start
Microsoft Intune uses OAuth2 based authentication via Microsoft's Identity Management Platform. Details on how to create a Microsoft Identity Management OAuth2 App can be found here.
Once your OAuth2 app is created you must add your credentials to the vault in Oomnitza. For further information see Adding Microsoft credentials to the vault in Oomnitza.
Integrate Intune with Oomnitza
Info and connect details
- Click Configuration > Integrations.
- Click Integrations List View
.
- On the Integrations page, scroll down to the Extended section for Assets.
- Click NEW INTEGRATION.
- In the New Asset Integration sidebar, click Microsoft Intune.
- To integrate Oomnitza with the Microsoft Intune Asset Load, click APPLY and then click NEXT twice.
On the Connect page, complete these steps:
- Enter a descriptive name for the integration such as Intune for Assets. That'll be the name of the integration tile that is shown on the Integrations page.
- Select Cloud as the installation type.
- From the Credentials list, select the credentials from the Oomnitza vault that you added for the Intune connection. For further information see Adding Microsoft credentials to the vault in Oomnitza.
- Enter the name of the user of the integration.
- Click Next.
Mappings
Map the Intune fields to the Oomnitza fields and create custom mappings to get the information that you need to manage your desktop assets.
- Click SMART MAPPING to automatically map Intune to Oomnitza fields. If a field isn't automatically mapped, you can complete these steps:
- Click the down arrow on the Intune field that you want to map.
- Select Add new Oomnitza assets field.
- In the Field information dialog, enter the name and attributes of the field.
- Click CREATE.
- Before you can proceed, you must select at least one Sync key such as Serial Number.
- When you've completed mapping Intune fields to Oomnitza fields, click NEXT.

Schedule
By default, Intune data is streamed to Oomnitza once every day.
You can configure the schedule to meet your needs such as changing the interval or changing the time so that the data is streamed when your system isn't busy.
- Configure your schedule.
- Click FINISH.
Result
A new tile is created for the integration on the Integrations page.
What to do next
If you want to see what information is collected now, click the tile on the Integrations page and click RUN.
