Tutorial: Creating a donut chart that shows the budgeted costs of your contracts

You want to create a donut chart that shows the budgeted costs of your contracts in your company currency.

Procedure

1. From the menu, click Dashboards. 
2. Click Add Widget.
3. Select Donut chart as the chart type. 
4. Enter the chart name.
5. Choose who can view the chart. By default, the chart is visible to all users who have dashboard privileges.
6. Select Allow table view. When selected, users can switch from chart to table view.
7. From the Objects list, select Contracts.
8. Ensure that All entities is selected.

Measurement (Y-Axis)

1. From the Calculation Type list, select Sum.
2. From the Field list, select Current Year Budgeted Contract Cost - company currency.

Dimension (X-Axis)

1. From the Field list, select Contract Name.
2. Click Save.

Result

The total costs of the budgeted costs for the contracts are shown. To get more details, click a donut slice or click the name of the contract.

Tip
You can create other types of charts such as bar charts to show the budgeted costs for the current year and the total costs of contracts.
