Best practice
For the integration with Oomnitza, create a dedicated user account.
BambooHR uses Basic authentication and requires your API key to be added to Oomnitza. To obtain your API key, complete the following steps:
- Log in to BambooHR or create a free BambooHR account.
- Click your profile in the upper right of the page and click API Keys.
- Click Add New API Key.
- Give your key a name and click Generate Key.
- Copy the API key for use in Oomnitza.

Adding your BambooHR credentials
Now that you have obtained your API key, you can add it to Oomnitza.
Note
When you add your API key to Oomnitza, ensure that you enter your API key in the Username field. You can use any random string for the Password.
- In Oomnitza, go to Configuration>Security>Credentials.
- Click Add new credential (+).
- Search for the integration, and then click the forward button > to select the integration.
- Enter the user name and password of your account
- Click Create.
Integration not in the list? Click Advanced Mode and complete these steps:
- Add the information details.
- Click the AUTHORIZATION tab.
- Ensure that Basic Auth is selected as the authorization type.
- Enter the user name and password of your account.
- Click Create.
