Adding your Druva credentials to Oomnitza

Best practice
For the integration with Oomnitza, create a dedicated user account.

Druva uses OAuth authentication and requires your Client ID, Secret, and API type to be added to Oomnitza.

Important
Only Druva Cloud Administrators can create and manage API credentials. 

Client ID and Secret

To obtain a Client ID and Secret, complete the following steps:

1. Click the Druva logo  and then click Druva Cloud Settings.
2. On the Settings page, click API Credentials. 
3. Click New Credentials. 
4. Provide a name for the credential.
5. Click Save. 
6.  Copy the Client ID and Secret and store them securely for the next step.

Druva API type

To collect asset and user data, you use the Druva InSync API or InSync GovCloud API.

The API type for the Druva InSync API is apis.druva.

The API type for the Druva InSync GovCloud API is govcloudapis.druva.

Add credentials to the vault in Oomnitza

To authorize connections between Oomnitza and Druva, complete these steps:

1. In Oomnitza, click Configuration > Security > Credentials.
2. Click Add new credential (+).
3. Search for the integration, and then click the forward arrow > to select the integration. 
4. Enter your client credentials and any other additional information.
5. Click Authenticate. You are prompted to log in to authorize your request.
6. Click CREATE.

1. Add the information details.
2. Click the AUTHORIZATION tab.
3. Ensure that OAuth 2.0 is selected as the Authorization type.
4. Ensure that Druva is selected from the SaaS list.
5. Enter your Druva client ID and secret.
6. Enter the API type.
7. Click Authenticate. 
8. Click CREATE. 

You use the credentials that you added to create and customize your Druva integrations with Oomnitza.

Add the Druva API type to global settings

To save time entering information when you integrate Druva with Oomnitza and when you create workflows, you can add the Druva API type value as a global variable in Oomnitza.

1. In Oomnitza, click Configuration > General > Global Settings.
2. Click Add new variable (+). 
3. Enter Druva.Api as the variable name.
4. Enter the value.
   - The API type for the Druva InSync API is apis.druva.
   -The API type for the Druva InSync GovCloud API is govcloudapis.druva.
5.  Click SAVE.
