Adding your Hexnode credentials to Oomnitza

For the integration with Oomnitza, create a dedicated user account.

For the integration with Oomnitza, you need to complete the following steps:

• Add your Hexnode API key to Oomnitza
• Add the Hexnode company portal to global settings

Add your Hexnode API key to Oomnitza

To retrieve your API key, complete the following steps:

1. Sign in or register for a free account on the Hexnode portal.
2. Select API from the Admin tab

To add your API key to Oomnitza and Hexnode, complete these steps:

Make life easier and add your credentials to Oomnitza before you create the integration.  

1. In Oomnitza, click Configuration > Security > Credentials.
2. Click Add new credential (+).
3. Search for the integration, and then click the forward button > to select the integration.
4. Add your API key.
5. Click Create.

Integration not in the list? Click Advanced Mode and complete these steps:

1. Add the information details.
2. Click the AUTHORIZATION tab.
3. Ensure that API Key is selected as the Authorization type.
4. Ensure that the Token Name is Authorization. 
5. Enter the API Key, which is the secret key that you got from Hexnode.
6. Ensure that Add to Header is selected.
7. Click CREATE. 

Add the Hexnode company portal to global settings

To save time entering information when you integrate Hexnode, you can add your company portal URL as a global variable in Oomnitza.

1. In Oomnitza, click Configuration > General >  Global Settings.
2. Click Add new variable (+). 
3. Enter Hexnode.Company Portal as the variable name.
4. Enter the value for your Hexnode company portal. For example, if the URL is
   https:// portalname .hexnodemdm.com, you enter the highlighted part of the URL
5. Click SAVE.
