Get the information and insights you need by creating configurable workflows to fetch the warranty date and product name of your Lenovo device.
Before you start
You do not need to supply any credentials before running this workflow. However, the workflow does require you to supply a device Serial Number to retrieve the product name and or warranty date.
Creating workflows
To create a workflow, you must complete these steps:
- Click Configuration > Workflows
- Click Add (+) and select Assets from the list.
- Edit the Begin Block and add rules to trigger the workflow. For example, if you set the Actions to Schedule and add a rule so that the Status equals Active you can trigger a workflow to fetch an asset as soon as it becomes active. Refer to Using the Begin block.
- Drag and drop the API block onto the Sandbox.
- Click Edit on the API block and enter Lenovo in the search field.
- Select one of the following presets:
- Lenovo Support Get Warranty Date
- Lenovo Support Get Product Name with Serial Number
- To choose the preset, click the forward arrow (>).
- Select Advanced Mode.

Ensure that the
{{serial_number}}exists in Oomnitza and is populated with information before you run this workflow. This value is referenced in the Information tab for the Get Product Name with Serial Number preset and in the Body tab for the Get Warranty Date preset. - Select the Response tab. Choose an appropriate Oomnitza field to map the response information. The Get Product Name with Serial Number preset returns the Product Name. The Get Warranty Date preset returns the warranty start date and end date.
- Connect the Blocks.

Save, validate, and activate your workflow.
