- Create an API key on SSLMate by navigating to Account > API keys
- In Oomnitza, click Configuration > Security > Credentials.
- Click Add new credential (+).
- Click Advanced Mode
- Enter the necessary details.
- Click the AUTHORIZATION tab.
- Ensure that Basic Auth is selected as the Authorization type.
- Enter the API Key as the username
- Enter any value (e.g., a space) in the password field. This meets the credentials' saving criteria since the SSLMate API doesn't require a password.
- Click Create.
Creating workflows
1. Create the workflow
- Click Configuration > Workflows
- Click Add (+) and select an object from the list.
2. Update the Begin block
Edit the Begin Block and add rules to trigger the workflow. For example, if you set the Actions to Schedule and add a rule so that the Status equals Active you can trigger a workflow to fetch an asset as soon as it becomes active.

3. Add an API block
- Drag and drop the API block onto the Sandbox.
- Click Edit on the API block and enter SSLMate in the search field.
- Select the SSLMate Get Certificate Details preset. To choose the preset, click the forward arrow (>).
- Click Advanced Mode
4. Update the Authorization (optional)
If you are using the paid plan, update the authorization with the previously created credentials.
- Select the Authorization tab
- For the Mode, choose Basic
- For the Type, select the relevant credentials from the list.
5. Check the parameters
- Select the Params tab. The parameters utilize the domain name (referenced in primary_dns_name) to query various details, including the issuer, revocation information, problem reporting instructions, DNS names, and subdomains.
- If you only want to include the domain name, remove any other parameters from the list.
6. Add the API Response
- Select the Response tab.
- Map the following fields to corresponding Oomnitza fields: DNS Names, Expiration Date, Vendor Name
- Connect the Blocks.
- Save, validate, and activate your workflow.
