Save time and work more efficiently by making bulk updates to record field values.
About bulk edit
You can set the max number of records that you can bulk edit for each custom and system object. By default, the maximum is 2,000 and the minimum is 2 records.
You can also grant permissions for users with specific roles to ignore the restrictions set by administrators in the screen builder. For example, the administrator might have changed some fields to read only or set up custom visibility rules.
- Click Configuration > Security > Roles.
- Click a role.
- Click the Permissions tab.
- Use search to find the object.
- Expand the object.
- Optional. To allow users to choose whether to ignore or accept the restrictions and rules set in the screen builder, click Ignore field settings and rules. See Controlling role access to data.
- Optional. Change the bulk edit limit.
- Save your changes.
