Best practice
For the integration with Oomnitza, create a dedicated user account.
Nautobot uses API Key authentication and requires your API Key to be added to Oomnitza.
To obtain your API Key, complete the following steps:
- Log into Nautobot
- Select your username, then select Profile
- Select API Tokens and create a token.
- Leave the key blank to automatically create a token, or create your own.
- You do not need to enable write permissions to use the integration or workflows in Oomnitza.
- Enter an expiration date and description (optional).
For further information, refer to the "Tokens" section in the Nautobot Documentation.
Tip
Don't forget to keep a copy of the Access token (API Key), and store it securely.
