Before you start

For details on adding your Nautobot credentials to Oomnitza, see Adding your Nautobot credentials to Oomnitza. 

We recommend that you also create the extended integration for Nautobot assets. You can use the asset integration to retrieve the IPv4, IPv6, Platform, and Location IDs which will be required for creating the workflows.

Creating workflows

Create asset workflows

To create an asset workflow, you must complete these steps:  

1. Click Configuration > Workflows 
2. Click Add (+) and select Assets from the list.
3. Drag and drop the API block onto the Sandbox.
4. Click Edit on the API block and enter Nautobot in the search field. 
5. Select a preset:
   • Nautobot Get Location Details
   • Nautobot Get Platform Details
   • Nautobot Get Primary IPv4 Details
   • Nautobot Get Primary IPv6 Details
6. To choose a preset, click the forward arrow (>).
7. Select the credentials that you created in Adding your Nautobot credentials to Oomnitza.
8. Configure the API Block following the preset instructions below, and save your changes.
9. Edit the Begin Block and add rules to trigger the workflow. For example, if you set the Actions to New you can trigger a workflow every time a new asset is created. Refer to Using the Begin block.
10. Connect the Blocks. 
11. Save, validate, and activate your workflow.

Using the Nautobot Get Location Details preset

The Nautobot Get Location Details preset retrieves a location object. For further information, see Nautobot Rest API documentation: /dcim/locations/{id}/

Using the Nautobot Get Platform Details preset

The Nautobot Get Platform Details preset retrieves a platform object. For further information, see Nautobot Rest API documentation: /dcim/platforms/{id}/

Using the Nautobot Get Primary IPv4 and IPv6 Details preset

The Nautobot Get Primary IPv4 and IPv6 Details preset retrieves an IP address object. For further information, see Nautobot Rest API documentation: /ipam/ip-addresses/{id}/
