To ensure that you retrieve the data you need to manage the data returned from vendor applications, you can make additional API calls.
For universal connectors for assets, you can retrieve information about the software installed on devices.
For universal connectors for users , you can retrieve SaaS user information and automatically deactivate users that were deactivated in the vendor application.
For both asset and user universal connectors, you can add an additional API request if the initial request in the details section does not return all the information that you need to map to Oomnitza.
Advanced detail configuration
Depending on the information that is returned from the external API , further configuration might be required.
In most cases, the Web Service URL returns a list, such as a list of User IDs or device IDs, which means that an additional API request is required to return the information that is needed to map to Oomnitza.
Applies to both asset and user universal connectors. (The advanced detail configuration section is also available for other types of connectors such as universal connectors for custom objects.)
Advanced software configuration - optional
In addition to asset information, you can also return the name and version of the desktop software information installed on devices.
This might require an additional API request to return the desktop software information. For example, the desktop software information might be nested in an object, such as applications.
Applies to universal connectors for assets.
Advanced SaaS user configuration - optional
You can enable the deactivate SaaS users feature. This might require making an additional API request and you must specify the deactivation criteria such as user's status is inactive.
Applies to universal connectors for users.
