Tickets created in Jira Cloud can be attached to assets, accessories, and desktop software records in Oomnitza.

Let's look at the features provided in Jira Cloud.

In this scenario, a ticket was created and the SKU of the accessory was used to find the accessory record.
When you hover over the Oomnitza record, you can:
- Open the record in edit mode in Oomnitza and update the record.
- Assign the ticket to one or more Oomnitza records.
- Open the record in edit mode in the Jira Cloud app and update the record.
Any changes that you make to the ticket in Jira are reflected in Oomnitza.
Oomnitza
Let's look at the features that are provided in Oomnitza.
When a ticket is created and assigned to a record in Oomnitza, you can:
View the ticket description in Oomnitza.
Open the ticket in edit mode in Jira and update the ticket such as change its status to In Progress, add comments, and so on.
Delete the ticket.
Tip
Instead of assigning Jira tickets to records in Oomnitza, assign the tickets in Jira.
Assigning tickets in Jira
- Log into Jira as an administrator.
- Create a ticket.
- In the right-hand pane scroll down to the Oomnitza section and select one of the following tabs:
- Assets
- Accessories
- Software
- To assign the ticket to an Oomnitza record, hover the mouse over a Oomnitza record and select the paper clip icon. Alternatively, enter search criteria such as an external ID for assets or SKU for accessories.
- Save your changes.
Result
The ticket is attached to the record in Oomnitza.
Assigning Jira tickets to records in Oomnitza
To assign tickets to records in Oomnitza, you must know the Jira Cloud ticket number.
- In Oomnitza, open an asset, accessory, or desktop software record.
- Click the Tickets tab.
- Click Add ticket.
- As search criteria, type the number of the Jira Cloud ticket. In this case, the number of the ticket is DP-17.
- Click the plus icon
on the tile.
Result
The ticket is assigned to the Oomnitza record.

Here's how to find tickets that are assigned to assets, accessories, and desktop software.

Searching for Oomnitza records in Jira Cloud
When you want to attach a ticket to assets, accessories, and desktop software, you can use the following search criteria to find Oomnitza records.
