You can create two types of integrations for Microsoft Intune:
- Basic integration. Use this integration when you want to stream asset and software data into Oomnitza.
- Extended integration. Use this integration when you want to stream only asset data into Oomnitza.
Basic integration

Before you start
To integrate Intune with Oomnitza, you need one of the following:
- Global Administrator permissions
- Application Administrator permissions
- A user of an app with
DeviceManagementManagedDevices.Read.Allpermissions
If you opt for step 3, you can create an app by completing the following steps:
- Login to Azure.
- Select Azure Active Directory > App registrations > New registration.
- Enter a Name for your OAuth2 application
- Specify who can use the application, sometimes called its sign-in audience.
- In the Redirect URI (optional) field, select Web and enter the following redirect URI:
https://generic-oauth2-proxy.oomnitza.com/oauth2/redirect_url - Click Register. This will create your app registration.
- From the sidebar, select API permissions.
- Click + Add a Permission
- Select Microsoft Graph
- Select Delegated permissions
- Select
DeviceManagementManagedDevicesand then selectDeviceManagementManagedDevices.Read.Allpermissions. - Click Add permissions
- Next, an Application Administrator will need to Grant admin consent in the API Permissions menu.

Integrate Intune with Oomnitza
Log into your Oomnitza instance, and complete these steps:
- Click Configuration > Integrations and click Block view
- In the Asset Integrations section, click the Microsoft Intune tile, and then click Next.
- In the Authorization section, click Sign in with Microsoft.
- Enter your credentials.
- On the Permissions requested page, complete these actions:
- Click Consent on behalf of your organization.
- Click Accept.
- Click Next.
Software data retrieval and scheduling
In the Settings section, select Software if you want to retrieve the software data for your assets. The name and the version of the software is retrieved.
In the Sync session frequency section, you can configure the schedule to meet your needs such as changing the interval or changing the time so that the data is streamed when your system isn't busy.
By default, Intune asset data is streamed to Oomnitza once every day. Software data retrieval is set to off unless you selected Software in the Add Software Details section.
- Specify the Sync Session frequency, which determines how often the Intune information is streamed to Oomnitza.
- Click Next.
Map
To get the information that you need to manage your assets, complete these actions:
- On the Mappings page, map the Intune fields to the Oomnitza fields.
- Select a unique value for the sync key, such as the Serial Number, which will synchronize the data that is streamed from Intune to Oomnitza.
- Click FINISH.
Monitor Intune integration
To monitor the loading of information into Oomnitza, click Sync Sessions. You can check:
- The status of the data collection
- The number of new records that were added
- The number of records that were updated
- The number of records that were skipped
- The number of errors that were generated
Tip
To view the information that is collected about assets, click Assets. To view the information collected about software, click the asset in the list on the Assets page, and then click the Software tab.
