Sync Oomnitza with Microsoft Azure to gain visibility of asset data.
The Microsoft Azure asset load uses the Virtual Machines API. For further information, see Microsoft Azure API Documentation: Virtual Machines - List All.
You can create two types of integrations:
- Microsoft Azure Asset Load
- Microsoft Azure Asset Load by Resource Group
Contents
Before you start
When you add the integrations, you must provide the following information:
Subscription IDs. Specify multiple subscriptions in each integration to enable comprehensive aggregation of data and resources across your Azure environment. Azure subscriptions act as containers for billing, resources, and permissions, essential for organizing and controlling access to Azure services. To locate your subscriptions, go to the Azure portal, look under the Azure services heading, and select Subscriptions. Here, you can select and copy the subscription ID of your choice. For detailed instructions and additional information, refer to the Microsoft Azure Portal Documentation on Get subscription and tenant IDs.
Domain. By default, the domain is set to https://management.azure.com. To enter the domain of your Microsoft account, you enter the fully qualified URL.
Resource Group Name. A resource group is a logical container that holds related Azure resources for a solution. Applies only to the Microsoft Azure Asset Load by Resource Group integration.
Microsoft Credentials. You will be prompted to enter your Client ID, Client Secret, Scope and Tenant ID before you run the integration. For information see Microsoft OAuth 2.0 credentials.
Make sure that you have added the correct permissions to your Microsoft Azure app. When you create the credentials, make sure to set the scope to
https://management.azure.com/user_impersonation. For information see Generating your OAuth2.0 credentials
