Use conditional formatting to highlight information that is important to you. You can add rules to highlight information on the Assets, People, Software, and Locations pages. In fact, you can highlight information for any of Oomnitza's top-level objects.
Procedure
- Click Format.
- Add a rule.
- Select the area that you want to highlight, such as row.
- Add rule criteria.
- Click DONE.
- Click SAVE.
You can repeat the procedure to add additional rules.
- Rule Name: The name of the rule such as sold assets.
- Highlight Area: You can highlight a cell or row.
- Highlight Fields: If you choose cell as the highlight area, you can add the fields that you want to highlight.
- Formatting Style: Apply a format to the cell or row. The text and highlight colors available comply with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
- Rule Criteria: Add rules to get the information that you want to highlight. The filters don't support support contains type field operations, or operations on fields that aren't dropdown short or long text fields.
- Formatting ON or OFF: Click the switch
to turn conditional formatting on or off.
Conditional formatting is also applied to:
- Saved Searches
- Widgets: When you apply conditional formatting to a search that you save and make public, the conditional formatting is also applied to the dashboard.
Sharing
If you want to highlight critical information so that your colleagues can also see the highlighted information in Oomnitza, you must save the search that you applied the conditional formatting to and make the search public.
When you apply conditional formatting to a page, the conditional formatting is only visible to you. And, it's only visible to you when you view the page in default view. And, if you select a saved search from the list, the conditional formatting won't be applied to that view of the page.
