Create custom asset and user workflows that use our internal Oomnitza API. Before you get started creating the workflows, you first need to create an Oomnitza API token and add it to the vault.

The Oomnitza block is also a convenient way to access our internal Oomnitza APIs. The Oomnitza block provides you with a unified view of all internal Oomnitza APIs, including the APIs used in the custom asset and user workflows. For more information, refer to the Oomnitza block.
Creating an Oomnitza API token
To generate an API token in Oomnitza, complete these steps:
- Click Configuration > Security > API tokens.
- Click + to add a new token.
- Enter the name of the token.
- Enter the name of the user to whom the token will be assigned.
- Click SUBMIT.
The API token is displayed once and cannot be recovered.

Next, add your API token to the vault in Oomnitza.
Adding the credentials to the vault
To stream data into Oomnitza, complete the following steps:
- In Oomnitza, click Configuration>Security>Credentials.
- Click Add new credential(+).
- Add the information details.
- Click the AUTHORIZATION tab.
- Ensure that API Key is selected as the Authorization type.
- Ensure that the Token Name is Authorization2.
- Enter your Oomnitza API token.
- Ensure that Add to Header is selected.
- Click CREATE.
To save time entering information when you create workflows, we recommend that you also add the Oomnitza subdomain as a global variable in Oomnitza.
Setting the Oomnitza subdomain as a global variable
- Click Configuration>General.
- Click Global Settings.
- Click Add new variable (+).
- Enter Oomnitza.Subdomain as the key value.
- Enter the global variable for the subdomain. If your Oomnitza URL is https://mycompany.oomnitza.comyour subdomain is mycompany.
- Save your changes.
