The eazyBI integration for Oomnitza enables you to create and view eazyBI reports, charts, and dashboard gadgets using data extracted from your Oomnitza instance. Once the integration is activated, simply define the Oomnitza data you wish to work with and create a schedule. Then, you can utilize all of the functionality of eazyBI and create reports and dashboards all from within your Oomnitza instance.
Enabling the integration
Every Oomnitza instance has access to the eazyBI integration. You can find it by navigating to Configuration > Integrations > BI Integrations.
To activate your eazyBI integration, contact your Oomnitza account manager or support@oomnitza.com. When the connection with eazyBI is installed, the system should display an Active status.
How it works
- Oomnitza enables the integration for you on your Oomnitza instance.
- You get up and running with the integration and click Connect below.
- The integration then calls a specific API for the new eazyBI site and account to be created in the Oomnitza instance.
- You can then import source data from Oommitza. This data is taken from your existing Oomnitza database. You can define how much or what type of information you want to import.
- Then, you can create dashboards and models with this data much like you would using eazyBI.
- Each eazyBI account is stored by eazyBI in a separate database schema and isolated from other customer data.
- Each incoming web request is authenticated and authorized by eazyBI before access to customer data is allowed.
- Data is encrypted during the data transit and encrypted at rest.
Permissions
To access eazyBI in Oomnitza, users must have at least Configuration > Read permission. To set permissions, an administrator should complete the following steps:
- Go to Configuration > Security > Roles in Oomnitza.
- Choose a role from the role list
- Click the Permissions tab
- Set the Configuration permissions in the Configuration section to Read.
Users with Configuration > Read permissions must also be assigned the relevant permissions within the eazyBI integration. To set permissions, an owner or user admin should complete the following steps:
- Go to the Configuration menu in Oomnitza
- Select Integrations > BI Integrations
- Click on the eazyBI tile
- On the Home tab, expand your site name
- Click on Users
- In the Add account user section, select permission from the dropdown and enter the relevant user information.
Note
Refer to the User roles list in the eazyBI documentation for up-to-date information regarding permissions. For example, a Data admin can configure source data, as well as create, update, and delete reports while a Viewer can create reports but cannot save them.

eazyBI tab
The eazyBI tab provides all of the functionality of eazyBI in Oomnitza.
Home
The Home tab displays the eazyBI account information.
Source Data
The Source Data tab enables you to import a spreadsheet or add an Oomnitza source application.
You can import a spreadsheet as you would in your eazyBI instance. For information on how to import a spreadsheet, refer to the eazyBI documentation: Excel and CSV file upload.
To add an Oomnitza source application, complete the following steps:
- Click Source Applications > Add new source application > Oomnitza
- Supply the following information
- The import Schedule or how frequently the integration will run.
- In the Time dimension section, add additional information to help refine your schedule. You can define your week's beginning, working days, and non-working days. In Add members for date range, you can add additional date ranges, for example, 30 days ago and today
- For Asset Status, select the corresponding Oomnitza field which should be used to identify the asset status. For example, in your Oomnitza instance, the asset status might be stored in a field called Audit Status.
- Select Import sample reports to automatically add a set of reports created by eazyBI to the Analyze section. We recommend that you select this option as these reports will enable you to have a first look at your data in eazyBI. See eazyBI documentation: Learn eazyBI through sample reports.
- Select your Asset custom fields from the list. These are all of the asset fields created in your Oomnitza instance. You can import them as a measure, dimension, or property.
- Select your User custom fields from the list. These are all of the user fields created in your Oomnitza instance. You can import them as a measure, dimension, or property.
