You want to capture additional information about your desktop and laptop devices such as the storage type and disk capacity.
To make it easy for users to update the records, you decide to create a paired dropdown list.
Tutorial objective
When users add or update asset records, they can select the storage type and capacity from two dropdown lists.
Scenario
In this scenario, you want to pair two fields:
- Storage type
- Storage capacity
The options for desktop and laptop storage are hard and solid-state drives and the options for storage capacity are one, two, and three TBs (terabytes).
Before you start
You can use two fields that were already added or you can add the new fields. The data type of the fields must be set to short text and they must be dropdown lists. In this scenario, you add the two fields that you want to pair.
