Add fields to records to capture information that can't be automatically ingested by Oomnitza.
Scenario
You want to add a notes field to contract records for contract negotiators. And, you want to add a date field to track when the last contract negotiation took place. Then, you want to organize the fields into a section.
Procedure
- Click Configuration > Data Model > Field Configuration.
- From the Objects list, select Contracts.
- Click Add .
- Type the name of the field.
- As data type, you select Short text.
- Add some help text.
- Click Create.
To create the field to capture the date of the last contract negotiation, you follow the same procedure except as data type you select DateTime and as subtype you select Date only.
Configuring the layout
You want to organize the related fields into a section so make it easier for contract negotiators to update the information.
- Click Contracts.
- Open a contract.
- On the Information page, click Add group .
- Type the name of the group and save it.
- Drag and drop the fields under the group heading.
- Save your changes.
Result
A separate section is created for contract negotiations information.
