For the integration with Oomnitza, create a dedicated user account.
API Key
SolarWinds Service Desk uses API authentication and requires an API key to be added to Oomnitza. Admins can generate a token directly from the user setup page.

Adding your credentials
To stream SolarWinds data into Oomnitza, add the credentials that you obtained to Oomnitza:
- In Oomnitza, click Configuration > Security > Credentials.
- Click Add new credential (+).
- Search for the integration, and then click the forward button > to select the integration.
- Add your API key.
- Click Create.
Integration not in the list? Click Advanced Mode and complete these steps:
- Add the information details.
- Click the AUTHORIZATION tab.
- Ensure that API Key is selected as the Authorization type.
- Ensure that the Token Name is X-Samanage-Authorization.
- Enter "Bearer" followed by a space and the API Key. For example,
Bearer aefgd-adw3n-jknadd78l1kjndc. - Ensure that Add to Header is selected.
- Click CREATE.
Adding the ServiceDesk URL as a global variable
To save time entering information when you create the integration, you can add the SolarWinds ServiceDesk URL as a global variable in Oomnitza.
For US-based customers, please useapi.samanage.com
For European-based customers, please use apieu.samanage.com

- From the menu, go to Configuration>General.
- Click Global Settings.
- Click Add new variable (+).
- Enter SolarWindsSerivceDesk.URL as the variable name, such as
api.samanage.com.You do not need to provide the leadinghttps://as this is automatically prepended. - Enter your SolarWinds URL.
- Save your changes.
