Delete the obsolete records that you are not required to retain.
When you delete a record, the record's history is no longer displayed.
Note
You cannot undo a delete and you cannot recover the data that is deleted. Consider the implications and take the necessary precautions before you proceed.
Before you start
By default, super administrators do not have permissions for deleting records. To delete records, they must change the permissions for their role. See Granting role permissions.
Procedure
Complete the following steps:
- Select Archive display settings in the navigation bar
- Select the record that you archived, and then click Delete .
Resolve dependencies
When you delete a record, you are notified of any errors including errors relating to dependencies in the system. For example, a location record is referred to in a stockroom or a contract is used in a software record. You must resolve the dependencies before you can delete records. See Checklist for resolving record dependencies.
- Click Review blocking dependencies
- Open the record in a new tab,
- Resolve the related dependencies by either modifying or deleting the dependent records.
- Return to the dependency checker and click Retry.
