To comply with your organization's data protection policy, anonymize the personal data of users who leave your organization.
Before you start
To anonymize users, you must have add, edit, archive, and delete permissions for users. See Granting role permissions.
To ensure that your system is not adversely impacted when you anonymize a user, ensure that you remove all references to the user. See Anonymization checklist.
Before you start
You must archive the user records that you want to anonymize.
Archiving user records
- Click People.
- Select one or more records.
- Click Archive
.
Anonymizing user records
When your record is successfully archived:
- Click Archive display settings
.
- Select the archived record and then click delete
.
Result
The user in the system is anonymized and replaced with "archived_user".
