To find records easily, it is best practice to create an integration user for each integration. This will make it easier for you to retrieve records for each vendor application.
The role of the integration user must have the following configuration permissions:
- Configuration write permissions. Available in the Configuration section on the Permissions tab for the role.
- Credentials write permissions. Available in the Configuration section on the Permissions tab for the role.
- Integration Sync Sessions Workflow permissions. See Tutorial: Creating dashboards for your integrations.
Depending on the type of integration, you must also grant permissions to one or more objects.
-
- For asset integrations, you need at least read access to the Assets object.
- For asset and software integrations, you need at least access to the Assets and Software Desktop objects.
- For Software and SaaS User integrations, you need at least read access permissions to the Users and Software SaaS objects.
See Granting role permissions.
