Resolving blockers

When blocker issues are detected by the dependency checker, you must resolve the issues before you can archive the field.

Scenario

The field that you want to archive is used: 

• In a public search
• In a search that was used to create a dashboard

Procedure

1. Click Configuration > Data Model > Field Configuration.
2. Select an object or custom object from the objects list.
3. Click the field you want to archive.
4. Click the Dependencies tab.
5. Click Load Relations.
6. Click the blocker message for the public saved report.
7. Click Open. The saved search is displayed on a separate page.
8. From the saved search list, hover the mouse over the search and click Delete saved search.
9. Click CONFIRM.
10. Click the back arrow to open the Blockers tab. 
11. Click the blocker message for the dashboard.
12. Click Open. The Widget Configuration dialog opens on a separate page. You can either select another search or delete the dashboard. In this scenario, you want to delete the dashboard.
13. Click DELETE and then click YES.
14. Go back to the Blocker tab in the dependency checker and click REFRESH . 
15. The blocker messages are removed.
16. Click ARCHIVE and then click YES.
