Use the bulk edit feature to update multiple asset records.
For example, you might want to set the inventory start date to the current date.
Before you start
To avoid affecting the data integrity of the assets that were added to the app, review the following information.
When you make bulk edits:
- Mandatory fields are not required.
- Default values are not displayed.
- The changes that you make will be applied to all selected assets.
- If you select a field to update but do not enter a value, the field will be cleared in all the selected asset records.
Bulk editing assets manually
- On the Home page, tap Assets.
- Deselect the asset records by tapping the checkbox.
- To select all the assets that you want to edit, tap the asset counter. The max number of records that can be selected is 50.
- Click Edit.
- Make your changes.
- Tap Update.
Bulk editing assets using a scanner.
- On the Home page, tap SCAN ASSET TAG.
- Scan two or more assets.
- Tap the asset counter.
- Tap the Actions menu
, and select Select.
- To select all the assets that you want to edit, tap the asset counter.
- Click Edit.
- Make your changes.
- Tap Update.
