Completing actions

Make it easy to complete inventorying assets for app users.   

When administrators add actions for mobile apps, they must specify a field for scanning codes such as asset tags or serial numbers. They also must specify either a workflow or a field. They can specify both a workflow to complete an automatic update to assets and also a field that the app user must update.

Let's say when an administrator is inventorying new assets, they want to make the following updates automatically to the asset records:

• Change the status to received
• Change the location to the location where the inventory is taking place
• Notify the IT manager that the assets were received at the location

To do this, the administrator must complete the following tasks:

• Create an asset workflow that is triggered when new asset records are added
• Create the action on the ASSET ACTION DETAILS page in the screen builder   
• Add the action to the HOME PAGE in the screen builder

When the assets app user logs in to Assets by Oomnitza, they can tap the actions that were added.

Procedure

1. Log in to the Oomnitza assets app.
2. On the Home page, tap an action.
3. Scan one or more codes. 
4. When the barcodes are scanned, tap the asset counter. 
5. Tap PROCEED.
6. Tap DONE.
