Best practice
For the integration with Oomnitza, create a dedicated user account.
Lansweeper uses OAuth 2.0 authentication. A client id and a secret are required to access the service.
To obtain your Lansweeper client id and secret complete the following steps:
- Go to Lansweeper's App page, where a Lansweeper account can be created for free by clicking Register. If you already have an account, you can skip the following steps and log in.
- Once you are logged into the site, click your profile logo on the lower left corner.
- Go to Developer Tools > All Applications.
- Click Add new application +
- Select Cloud application
- Enter the application details. Your callback URL can be set to
https://generic-oauth2-proxy.oomnitza.com/oauth2/redirect_url - Once your application is created, a text file is automatically downloaded to your computer containing your client id and secret. Store this file securely for use in the next step.
