Adding fields to the software versions page

To enrich the data that is collected about software versions, you can add fields.

For example, you might want to record an end of life for support date to trigger a workflow that notifies software managers before the date is reached.

1. Click Configuration.
2. Click Data Model > Field Configuration. 
3. From the list of objects, select Software Version.
4. Click Add.
5. Make your changes.
6. Click CREATE.

Result

When you click Software > Desktop and open a record's Version tab, the field you added is displayed. You can open the screen builder to change the position of the field on the page.
