Reporting options

You can create reports and attach them to an email to share information with your colleagues.

To get the best value out of creating reports, navigate to the list view of software assets and software versions in the data model. 

Tip
The searches that you create to generate reports in the list views of the data model can also be used to generate charts on dashboards.

Navigation	Description
Click Hardware > All Assets. Open a record and click the Software tab. Click Export .	A list of the versions of the software applications installed on an asset is exported.
Click Configuration > Data Model > Objects. Search for Software Asset. Click the number in the Total Records column. Click Export .	A list of versions of the software applications installed on all assets including the asset tag if available is exported.
Click Software > Desktop. Open a record and click the Versions tab. Click Export	A list of the versions of the software applications and the number of assets that have the version of software installed is exported.
Click Configuration > Data Model. Search for Software Version. Click the number in the Total Records column. Click Export	A list of the versions of software applications and the number of assets that have the version of software installed. If you added fields to the data model for software versions, such as an End of Support field, you can create reports that show when the End of Support is reached.

Note
The default and max export limit for records is 25,000 records. If over 25,000 records are listed, use a search to reduce the number of records so that you can export the records. See system_export_record_limit in Global system settings.
