Adding software records installed on assets

If you can't stream the software information by syncing with a vendor application, you can add the software.

The software installed on assets is automatically added and updated when Oomnitza syncs with asset and software integrations.

Before you start

The value that you enter to specify the asset is determined by the value that was set for the Assets object. To find out which value was set, click the Assets object in the objects list view in the Data Model.

Procedure

1. Click Configuration.
2. Click Data Model > Objects.
3. Search for Software Asset.
4. Click the value in the Total Records column.
5. Click Add.
6. Type or select the asset identifier such as the tag, serial number, or device name.
7. Select the software.
8. Save your changes.

Result

The record is added to the Software tab for the asset record.
