Scanner setup

You might need to complete additional steps to ensure that your scanner works properly with Assets by Oomnitza.

Note
To use an external scanner with Assets by Oomnitza, your administrator must enable the option for your role to scan assets using external scanners.  

You can connect any scanner to Assets by Oomnitza that supports Bluetooth Classic or Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE).

If you have an Android mobile phone, when you pair the scanner with your mobile phone, the scanner's embedded keyboard displays in Assets by Oomnitza when you add or update fields.

If you have an iOS phone or tablet, you must set up an Apple keyboard simulator to use the scanner's embedded keyboard in Assets by Oomnitza.
