Tracking IP addresses

Configure Oomnitza to record the IP addresses of users who log into the system. 

The advantages of recording IP addresses are as follows:

• You can integrate IP address data into external security systems such as Security tracking and event management (SIEM) systems.
• You can surface the IP addresses of users who complete actions such as creating, editing, archiving, and deleting records.

From the menu, click Activities.

The IP addresses of users who log into Oomnitza and complete actions are displayed on the Activities page. 

Note
The IP addresses of system users or of users who fail to log in to Oomnitza are not displayed.

To track IP addresses, complete these steps:

• Grant permissions to read activities
• Grant permissions to display IP addresses
