Importing asset records

You can import the asset information that can't be ingested by syncing Oomnitza with a vendor application.

You can import asset records on the All Assets page, or on the Endpoints, Infrastructure, and Networking pages. 

Before you start

To import asset records successfully, you must complete the following actions:

• Include the field name of mandatory values as column headers in the spreadsheet. To find out which fields are mandatory, click Hardware, click an object, and then click Add. Note which fields are marked with a red asterisk *. 
• Include correct values for drop-down fields that have fixed sets of values. If you wish to import values for such fields, you must ensure that the values that you enter in the spreadsheet are valid.
• Ensure that when you import Assigned to values that a record for the employee has already been added on the People page. 

Tip
Export an asset from the Hardware > All Assets page. That way you get all the headers for your
import file.
