January ’26 Release: Trusted Foundations
The January ’26 release strengthens the data foundation teams rely on to manage technology cost, risk, and operations. By improving how asset data is governed, aligned, and monitored, teams can share consistent, trusted information across IT, Finance, Security, and Compliance.
Select capabilities in this release are available through a limited Early Access Program, providing early access to advanced anomaly detection and dependency intelligence ahead of general availability.

Ensuring Data & Workflow Integrity
Protect sensitive data during bulk changes
As environments scale, bulk updates increase the risk of accidental or unauthorized changes to sensitive fields.
Custom visibility rules now apply at the record level during bulk edits and imports, preventing updates that violate governance conditions. Safely perform large-scale updates without corrupting restricted fields or triggering cleanup work.
Business Value Delivered
- Audit Preparedness: Prevents accidental or unauthorized changes to fields relied on during audits
- Regulatory Compliance: Enforces conditional data controls consistently across all data entry paths
- Information Security Oversight: Protects sensitive fields from unintended updates
- Continuity of Operations: Reduces downstream workflow failures caused by corrupted data
See Controlling role access to data
Reduce data duplication with relational views
Teams often duplicate data across objects just to gain needed context, creating drift and maintenance overhead.
Relational data views now extend to the Location object, enabling users to view users and assets in location context without copying or syncing fields across records.
Business Value Delivered
- Information Security Oversight: Adds contextual visibility across related objects without duplicating data
- Audit Preparedness: Reduces reporting errors by eliminating manual data duplication and drift
Keep workflows moving with improved recipient handling
Workflows can stall when notifications or approvals are routed to the wrong person or a single unavailable approver.
Notify and Decision blocks now share unified recipient logic, enabling workflows to notify multiple recipients, include initiators, and route actions to internal or external stakeholders without stalling.
Business Value Delivered
- Regulatory Compliance: Improves oversight of regulated processes by notifying the correct stakeholders
- Continuity of Operations: Increases workflow reliability by preventing stalled approvals and missed notifications
See Using the Notify block, Offboard Accessories block, Offboard Assets block, and Offboard Licenses block
Ensure critical workflows run first
Not all workflows carry the same business impact, but previously all scheduled workflows ran with equal priority.
This release introduces configurable priority levels for scheduled workflows, allowing critical processes to execute ahead of lower-impact tasks.
Business Value Delivered
- Continuity of Operations: Ensures time-sensitive workflows execute predictably during peak load
- Regulatory Compliance: Prevents delays in critical workflows such as offboarding and access revocation
Powering the ‘Syndicate of Truth’
Maintain secure AWS integrations without support dependency
AWS Direct Role Assumption now supports self-service Role ID regeneration, allowing teams to rotate credentials directly in the UI without relying on support. Integrations stay secure and stable as cloud environments change.
Business Value Delivered
- Regulatory Compliance: Supports credential rotation and least-privilege access requirements
- Information Security Oversight: Reduces risk from long-lived or stale credentials
- Continuity of Operations: Keeps AWS integrations running reliably without disruption
Keep systems in sync with expanded webhook support
As environments scale, delayed or inflexible integrations cause downstream workflows and reporting to fall out of sync.
Expanded webhook support enables real-time updates and editable configurations so asset changes propagate immediately across connected systems.
Business Value Delivered
- Information Security Oversight: Enables faster detection of risky changes through real-time asset updates
- Audit Preparedness: Improves traceability with clearer, event-level logs
- Continuity of Operations: Reduces delays by triggering workflows immediately on asset changes

Bring financial data into operational asset decisions
When financial data lives outside asset systems, teams rely on spreadsheets and manual reconciliation to understand spend.
New turnkey finance connectors ingest purchase orders, invoices, and expenses directly into Oomnitza as structured records tied to assets.
Business Value Delivered
- Financial Accountability: Provides continuous visibility into spend for budgeting and cost optimization
- Audit Preparedness: Reduces manual reconciliation and strengthens financial traceability
Expand and harden turnkey integrations across the ecosystem
This release expands and strengthens turnkey connectors across device management, finance, ITSM, and SaaS systems to improve data reliability, automation coverage, and operational consistency.
Announcement
To enhance security, Zendesk has discontinued support for authenticating applications using API tokens. For new Service Desk integrations for Zendesk, you must use OAUTH 2.0 to authenticate. If you edit an existing Service Desk integration, you must create new OAUTH 2.0 credentials. For existing Service Desk integrations - if you don't edit them - no action is required on your part. See Creating a service desk integration for Zendesk assets.
Updates to Existing Turnkey Connectors
- Microsoft Intune: Added a Days Since Last Sync filter to help teams monitor connector health and identify stale data
- NetSuite: Updated API version to improve reliability for workflows and financial data ingestion
- JAMF: Remote Lock Device (OAuth) preset for more consistent device control actions
New Asset Connector
- Apple Business Manager: New asset connector brings Apple-managed devices into Oomnitza for centralized inventory and lifecycle management
Plugin Updates
- ServiceNow: Plugin now supports Request ticket types in addition to Incidents, enabling broader ITSM workflow automation
SaaS User Role Block Expansion
Role-based automation and visibility now supported for additional SaaS applications, including:
- Adobe Users
- Asana Users
- Coda Users
- Docker Users
- Ironclad App Users and Ironclad Clickwrap Users
- JetBrains Licenses
- Lucidchart Enterprise SCIM Users
- Microsoft Users
- Quip Users (API Key Authorization)
Early Access Program (EAP)
Oomnitza’s Early Access Program gives customers early access to new capabilities before general availability and a chance to influence how those features evolve. EAP features are released to a limited set of customers so we can gather real-world feedback, refine the experience, and ensure the solution delivers meaningful value at scale.
Participants gain early visibility into new functionality, work closely with product teams, and help shape what reaches General Availability.
Two additional capabilities are slated to move into the Early Access Program this spring and will be revealed during an upcoming customer Lunch & Learn. More details to come!
Oomnitza Guard — Limited Availability
As asset data grows across domains, issues often go undetected until they surface as audits, security incidents, or unexpected spend.
Guard continuously detects anomalies across software, hardware, identity, cloud, and financial data so teams can identify risk and data drift earlier.
Business Value Delivered
- Financial Accountability: Detect hidden cost leakage before renewals or audits
- Information Security Oversight: Identify unmanaged assets and risky behavior earlier
- Audit Preparedness: Catch data drift before it impacts reporting or compliance reviews
Please note: Feature documentation for Oomnitza Guard will be accessible to customers in EAP and available to everyone when moved to General Availability.
To enable Guard in your environment, contact your Customer Success Manager.
Asset Dependencies
Understanding how assets relate to one another is critical during changes, incidents, and audits, but relationships are often undocumented or inferred.
Asset Dependencies provide visibility into how assets are connected, enabling faster impact analysis and safer decision-making.
Business Value Delivered
- Continuity of Operations: Understand downstream impact before changes or decommissions
- Audit Preparedness: Explain asset relationships clearly during audits and investigations
Please note: Feature documentation for Asset Dependencies will be accessible to customers in EAP and available to everyone when moved to General Availability.
To inquire about joining this EAP, contact your Customer Success Manager.
