This release includes a range of enhancements and fixes with a focus on Software Asset Management (SAM) and continued integration simplification. A few highlights include:
- new budget cost calculations to identify the total and annual budgeted costs across contracts and software
- the inclusion of credential presets for all integrations to further simplify the integration setup
- and a multi-currency enhancement to warn users when a currency calculation cannot be made because the currency rate was not set.

Credential Presets Added for All Integrations
We continue to simplify the process of adding credentials for integrations and workflows. Now, all integrations only require what is unique to your specific integration. To create the credentials, you just need to enter the authentication details such as your password or API key.
Reset Field Values in Searches
Now, you can reset values in search fields that use operators such as equals, does not equal, contains, and so on without having to remove the field from the search query. Simply, click next to the field value, and the field is reset.

Software Asset Management (SAM)
Enhanced and Automated Budgeted Cost Calculations for Contracts
Two new calculations have been added to the contract and associated software records to automatically calculate and report on the Total Budgeted Contract Cost and Current Year Budgeted Contract Cost from the Contract Budgeted Costs tab for the SaaS and Enterprise contract types. Several enhancements have been delivered to support these new calculations including the following:
Added Contract End Date to the Contract Information Tab to Streamline Data Entry
When a user enters the Contract Start Date and Contract End Date, these two dates will be the default values when creating a new line item on the Budgeted Costs tab for the contract.
Multi-Currency Support with New Fields and Calculations
The new cost fields are supported by the multi-currency enhancements delivered in 5.7. If the contract currency doesn’t match the company currency, the new global setting that was added in 5.7, both currencies, the company currency, and the other currency, are shown based on the defined currency rates.
Calculations Appear in Several Key Locations
The new calculated fields appear not only on the Information tab for the contract but also on the Contracts tab and the Information tab (left-side) for the software.
Leverage Calculations in Block and List Views
The block and list views also include the option to present the Total Budgeted Contract Cost and Current Year Budgeted Contract Cost fields.
Adding SaaS enterprise contracts
Adding and managing enterprise contracts for desktop software.
Easy Navigation
On the Information tab for the contract, a user can select the field’s hyperlink to either of these new fields to open the Budgeted Costs tab for the contract to enter budgeted cost line items for the contract.
Multi-Currency Enhancement
A warning message is now generated when currencies can’t be converted into the company currency. This can happen for two reasons:
- The company currency was changed, but the conversion rates weren’t set for the other currencies that you use to record costs.
- The conversion rate for one or more of the other currencies that you use to record costs weren’t set.
Solution: Click Configuration > Custom objects > Currency and set the conversion rate for all of the other currencies that you use.
Migrating Custom Contract End Date to System Field
To facilitate the calculation of contract costs, a new system field called 'Contract End Date' has been added. (You can enter a value in this field when you add or edit a contract.)
The new system field, 'Contract End Date', replaces an existing field. The existing field, which was also called 'Contract End Date', has been renamed to 'Contract End Date (custom)'. Any end dates that were added to this field have been added to the new system field called 'Contract End Date'.
From this release on, all end dates for the purpose of the calculation of contract costs, must be added to the new system field, 'Contract End Date'. The existing field that was renamed to 'Contract End Date (custom)' is by default hidden.
Accessories
The Offboard Accessories workflow block has been updated to enable you to offboard both permanent and on-loan accessories. Now you can easily offboard all your accessories in one workflow.
