Converting private to shared dashboards

User roles that are assigned read and write access to dashboards can create private dashboards and then convert them to global or role-specific dashboards to share them with other users. 

You might want to use private dashboards to try out charts before you share dashboards with other users. 

Adding the private dashboard

1. From the Dashboard dropdown list, select Create new dashboard.
2. From the Access type list, select Private.
3. Make your changes.
4. Click SAVE.

Sharing the dashboard

If you allow users to have edit access to the dashboards that you create, they can delete the charts on the dashboard and the dashboard.

1. Click Edit dashboard .
2. Change the access type to:
   1. Global
   2. Role specific
3. If you choose role specific, choose the roles who have read access and the roles who have edit access.
4. Save your changes.
